Misión La Purísima Concepción De María Santísima (Mission of the Immaculate Conception of Most Holy Mary) was founded by Father Presidente Fermin de Lasuén on December 8, 1787 and was the 11th of 21 Franciscan Missions in California.

Adobes - Historic - Nipomo

Dana Adobe  Est. 1840   National Register 
A 13-room adobe residence, it was built by Captain William Goodwin Dana about 1840. Docent conducted tours are Sat and Sun from noon until 4:00 pm. Directions: Exit the 101 freeway at Tefft in Nipomo, CA (30 miles south of San Luis Obispo). Go east one block to Oakglen and south one mile. There will be a sign on the entrance. General, docent conducted tours are Sat and Sun. During the week you might find our director in the adobe from about 10 am to 3 pm.

Mission San Miguel Arcangel  Est. 1797
California State Historic Landmark 326
Mission San Miguel Arcangel was founded on July 25, 1797 by Father Fermin Lasuen, Presidente of the California Missions Chain. Named for Saint Michael the Arcangel, it was the 16th mission founded in the 21 mission chain in Alta California.

The Mission San Miguel Restoration Fund

The Earthquake of December 22nd, 2003 caused extensive damage to the old Mission Church, and it is closed for now to the public. A second rebuilding program to preserve the old structure has already begun.
